Erich Skelly - Technical Director | Goaltending & Defense

Currently an assistant coach at Sacred Heart University where he serves as the Defensive Coordinator, Coach Skelly previously was an assistant at Binghamton University from 2013-16. Prior to this he coached at SUNY Brockport where he served as an assistant and defensive coordinator at his Alma mater.

He enjoyed a successful four-year playing career at the College at Brockport where he competed in 48 games with the Golden Eagles. He led the squad in caused turnovers in both his junior and senior seasons. He accumulated 82 career ground balls to go along with two goals and two assists from 2007-10. 

In addition to his collegiate and high school coaching experience, Skelly has been active teaching the game to youth players. He was the camp director of FastBreak Lacrosse Camp for three years in Amherst, N.Y. and also delivered instruction at both the University of Michigan and Fairfield University lacrosse camps.


Dan Lawrence - Head Coach 

Head coach of the Maritime Men's Lacrosse program for the past seven season and his 12th overall following four seasons as an assistant coach from 2006-09.

The Privateers once again increased its win total in 2016 as the Privateers recorded seven victories including a pair over Mass. Maritime and Maine Maritime as the Privateers clinched the 2016 Maritime Cup. The team finished with a pair of conference victories and following the season, Jonathan Strezenec '16 was voted as a Skyline All-Conference Second Team selection.


Lawrence's most successful season came during the 2011 year, where in addition to the five All-Conference selections at the end of the season, the team finished with four wins in league play, enough to qualify for the Skyline Conference Tournament. Overall that season, the team won seven contests before the year came to an end with a low-scoring affair as the #3 seed Privateers fell to second seeded Montclair State by a 4-3 score.

In addition to being in his seventh season as the head coach of the lacrosse program in 2016, Lawrence is also in his sixth season as the Assistant Athletic Director for Recruiting and Compliance.


Tim Caton - Manager | Club Operations

Caton joins Fundamental Lacrosse as Manager of Club Operations and will oversee the organization of its club team logistics. A recent graduate of the Sacred Heart University MBA program, Caton assists in the day to day operations of the company. Following an outstanding playing career at Sacred Heart, Caton is excited about working directly with our players to help them develop a similar passion for the game.

Coach Caton currently serves as an assistant coach at Division II Post University in Waterbury, CT where he serves as the Defensive Coordinator.


Chris Fee - Technical Director | Human Performance

Coach Fee joins the Fundamental Lacrosse staff as the Director of Human Performance.

Currently the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Sacred Heart University where he oversees all Pioneer athletic teams and works directly with Men’s Lacrosse and Football.

Fee served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Morehead State University. In that position he oversaw the development and implementation of the Strength and Conditioning program for all 16 varsity sports, including two conference championship winning programs.  Fee was instrumental in developing a nutritional handbook for the Athletic Department that included pre and post-workout nutrition, meal suggestions and portion size, as well as proper hydration needs.
